In August, the U.S. Department of Justice and the FBI identified the person they believed to be responsible for the anthrax letter attacks of 2001. Though the case, code-named Amerithrax, has not been closed officially, investigators have indicated that the seven-year investigation, one of the largest ever conducted by law enforcement, has come to a close.
